Tuberculosis Verrucosa Cutis. Presented from the Barnard Free Skin and Cancer Hospital.

E. G., a white man aged 55, states that an eruption began on his right little finger three years ago and slowly spread across the back of the hand. At times a little pus exudes. There is no history of tuberculosis. The skin on the dorsum of the right hand is atrophic, thin and erythematous. Over the head of the third metacarpal bone is an area about the size of a half dollar, which is slightly demarcated, elevated and brownish red. The central portion is of a verrucous papillary nature. A similar crescentic lesion extending across the dorsum of the wrist is about 1 inch (2.5 cm.) wide.

A roentgenogram of the lungs showed old healed tuberculosis. The histologic picture was typical of tuberculosis.
