This small textbook is essentially a compendium of dermatologic information arranged somewhat along the lines of R. Sabouraud's "Elementary Manual of Regional Topographical Dermatology" (New York, Rebman Co., 1906). The introductory chapter embraces the whole field, presenting enough succinct fundamental facts to permit a straight, if narrow, approach for a student of dermatology.

The chapter on syphilis, although elementary, contains many practical up-to-date notes.

In handling the clinical diagnosis according to the structure or distribution of lesions, the book offers a simple system to the beginner to aid in the orientation of his knowledge of the many cutaneous diseases. The complete index is a consummate adjunct to the system.

The numerous illustrations enhance the text. Although for the most part they are reduced too much and show many artistic defects in lighting, depth or sharpness of focus which make them unsuited for transfer to printing paper, they are saved by . . . [Full Text PDF of this Article]
