Arsenical Dermatitis with Pigmentation and Alopecia. Presented by DR. JESSE A. TOLMACH and DR. A. FRANKS (by invitation).

M. H., a woman aged 25, is presented from the Skin and Cancer Unit of the New York Post-Graduate Medical School and Hospital. In September 1938 the patient was found to have a positive Wassermann reaction of the blood during the course of an examination by a private physician for a vesicular eruption on the hands. Intravenous injections of arsphenamine were begun at weekly intervals. After the second injection, a red raised lesion about the size of a quarter appeared on the flexor surface of the right wrist. After the fifth or sixth injection a circumoral and supraorbital erythematous eruption developed, and the eyebrows began to fall out.
