Erythema Nodosum. Presented by DR. C. T. CHIARAMONTE.
A. B., a white married woman aged 30, was admitted to the dermatologic service of Kings County Hospital on Jan. 11, 1942 with painful erythematous nodules on the extensor surfaces of the forearms and on the left knee. She gave a history of having had polyarthritis at 6 years of age and recurrent attacks until the age of 16, when she was hospitalized for five months for the condition. At that time she had cutaneous lesions.
Within the past month she has had three attacks of sore throat, the last one persisting for two weeks, until now; it is associated with malaise and drawing aches in the thighs and lower part of the back, especially on the right side.
