Dermatitis Herpetiformis in a Child. Presented by DR. MICHAEL H. EBERT.

E. D., a white girl aged 3 years and 4 months, first noticed an itchy erosion in the pubic area six months ago. This was followed by a crop of tense bullae associated with intense itching. The bullae then appeared on the crotch, thighs, neck, arms and hands. She was first seen at Cook County Hospital four months ago. There were many tense bullae and erosions in these areas. She was treated with sulfapyridine, which rapidly controlled the eruption. At present a maintenance dose of 0.5 Gm. twice a day controls the eruption. A blood count showed 3,390,000 erythrocytes and 4,000 leukocytes.
