Lupus Erythematosus Involving Eyelids and Conjunctiva. Presented by DR. S. EPSTEIN, Marshfield, Wis.

The patient, a woman 32 years of age, was first seen on June 8, 1943. She gave the following history: For about six months round lesions had appeared on her scalp, behind her ears, on her nose, on her chest and on her back. The lesions grew larger and more conspicuous as time passed. About a year ago she had a sty on her left lower eyelid; it was incised, but the wound never healed completely. During the past few months, apparently simultaneously with the other eruption, redness and inflammation appeared on the lower lid. The lesion increased in size, and the eye became sore. About the same time the patient noticed an eruption of the buccal mucous membranes.
