PRENATAL WART

Ordinarily the appearance of a wart on the nose of a 19-week-old baby would suggest merely an unusual location of a common lesion at an unusual age and would present a certain degree of therapeutic problem. The chief concern of the physician in such a case ordinarily would have to do with the method of removal with a minimum of trauma and scarring.

In the present case, however, the extraordinary feature consisted of the statements of the pediatrician, Dr. F. Giunta, and the obstetrician, Dr. A. L. Potter, that at birth there was present a round elevation, about 1.5 mm. in height and about 3 mm. in width, in the exact location of the wart.
