Sarcoidosis (by Biopsy). Presented by DR. THEODORE CORNBLEET, DR. HENRY SCHORR, and (by invitation) DR. J. F. SICKLEY.
The patient is a 28-year-old Negro woman. In June she noticed many small papular lesions on her forearms. At the onset of the eruption there was slight pruritus, but since this time the lesions have been asymptomatic. Since the patient first noticed the papules they have not increased in size, and very few new lesions have appeared.
The patient has felt well, and her appetite has been good. She has lost about 20 lb. (9 kg.) of weight in the past six months, but she states this occurred after an operation for "fibroid tumors."
Physical examination revealed the following findings: At present the patient has multiple small flesh-colored papular lesions on both forearms and a few scattered lesions on the upper arms. There are no similar lesions on the lower extremities or
