Chronic Exudative, Lichenoid, and Discoid Dermatosis. Presented by DR. MAURICE J. COSTELLO.

An American man aged 62 has had a generalized eruption since March, 1956.

The eruption consists of exudative, lichenoid, discoid, pruritic, discrete and coalescing lesions with areas of hyperpigmentation and lichenification involving especially the extensor surfaces and the extremities.

When the patient was seen on Oct. 1, 1956, he was advised to go to Florida. While he was at Daytona Beach for two months, the eruption disappeared completely, only to recur several days after he returned to New York City.

Treatment has consisted of Sterane, 1 tablet daily, Thorazine, and local medicaments.
