Dermatitis Herpetiformis of Long Duration, Treated with Diasone. Presented by DR. MAURICE J. COSTELLO.

A group of five patients with dermatitis herpetiformis, showing severe involvement and with a duration of from 6 to 29 years, was shown. All had been treated with Diasone, and excellent control had been achieved.

Discussion

DR. EUGENE F. TRAUB: This is a very fine demonstration of dermatitis herpetiformis brought under control. Certainly in the older days it could not have been done. I was amazed at the size of the doses that have been tolerated by these patients. Perhaps the only way you can get a complete remission in these cases is to give a dose to the point of tolerance. It is unique to show five patients who have practically no lesions, especially those who have had the disease for a long time. Diasone certainly seems to be far superior to the other remedies . . .
