Eccrine Poroma Associated with Bowen's Disease

Eccrine poroma was first described by Pinkus in 1956.1 Five cases were presented fulfilling the criteria for a tumor of the intraepidermal sweat duct unit. Since that time Dugas et al.2 presented a case in 1957, and Knox and Spiller3 presented two cases in 1958.

We wish to report a case of eccrine poroma associated with Bowen's disease.

Report of a Case

An 83-year-old white woman, confined to her home because of a hip fracture, gave a history of a growth on one of her toes of at least three months' duration. There was a history of a scratch or trauma preceding the growth.

On physical examination, there was a granulomatous, pedunculated growth approximately 1 cm. in diameter, located on the lateral surface of the right little toe.
