This monograph is exceedingly well written, beautifully illustrated, and brings to the attention of anyone who will take the trouble to read it, a field that has been much neglected in lower leg pathology. There has been so much written about the veins and the arteries, but so little attention has been paid to the lymphatics, and the authors, with their excellent microscopic studies and their dye absorption techniques, have proved, at least to this reviewer, that the subject deserves a lot more attention than it has received.
The book can be most highly recommended to dermatologists and so-called vascular surgeons. The text also suggests a means of examination and approach that could well be applied to all inflammatory and edematous conditions of the lower leg.
