The purpose of this short communication is to report on the use of thin, flexible plastic films in the management of selected diseases of the skin.

We originally communicated this addition to topical therapy to Marcus R. Caro for use in his "What's New and What's True of What's New?" presentation at the December, 1960, meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology and Syphilology. We have continued to use and to evaluate this therapeutic procedure¹ and now wish to report briefly on some of its applications and some details of its use.

Originally our use of the plastic film was modeled after the report of the late Dr. John Garb² who employed it as a means for keeping podophyllin ointment in place in the management of certain hyperkeratotic nevi.
