This excellent book is based on a somewhat unusual collaboration between a dermatologist and a radiologist. After a brief description of the various types of roentgenotherapy, including Bucky, contact, superficial, semipenetrating, and penetrating, the authors turn to a more studied exposé of these. There follows a section devoted to various other physiotherapeutic aids, but by contrast with the foregoing, this portion of the book is inadequate. The second and larger portion lists in alphabetical order all the skin conditions which can be handled successfully with these physical aids. There is first a dermatologic description which dermatologists would find unnecessary and which presumably is directed toward the radiologists who will avail themselves of this text. It is not superfluous to us, however, for there is no absolute uniformity of nomenclature in the French and American schools. There can be no doubt which condition is being described when one reads the section
