Case 1: Mycosis Fungoides and Radiodermatitis. Presented by DR. J. HARRY KATZ, for DR. HENRIETTE ABEL.
History.—
A 46-year-old white woman 12 years ago first developed pruritic, tender, erythematous, infiltrated, well-demarcated lesions on the anterior thighs and subsequently on the posterior thighs and buttocks. Biopsy was done in 1958 at which time the differential diagnosis included: (1) lymphosarcoma, (2) mycosis fungoides, (3) lymphatic leukemia, to rule out Spiegler-Fendt sarcoid. She continued to develop new lesions, and in January, 1959, she was seen at New York Hospital where the diagnosis of mycosis fungoides was made. She was treated by the radiology department, 500 r, with a total of 2,500 r, to 2 parts on the right buttock and left anterior hip in March, 1959. Subsequently in May, 1959, she received 300 r to a total of over 10 days, 1,200 r to each of 2 parts on right and left butocks.
