This book consists of 139 reports and abstracts of papers presented at the First International Congress on Medical Photography, Düsseldorf, September, 1960.
The remarkable advances in endoscopic photography are reflected in the numerous papers on the subject and the high quality of the results.
Other subjects covered include time lapse cinematography, macrophotography, roentgencinematography, and operating room techniques.
Of particular interest to dermatologists are 2 papers on the photography of fluorescent subjects. Both recommend 35 mm. high speed Ektachrome with Wratten 2B and 2E filters. The details of the photographic technique for the study of nail growth are given in a short paper by R. Morton. L. Heigl emphasizes the quality of lighting to record acne or other skin lesions. F. Ehring discusses histophotography of the living skin.
