This book is essentially a review of much of the literature of approximately the past 40 years on the effects of ultraviolet radiation on the cell, its constituent proteins, amino acids, and enzymes, and on structures such as the skin, nerves, muscles, and especially the eyes, to which considerable space is devoted. The bibliography is quite extensive, comprising 657 references. The book can be recommended for a rapid survey of the subject.
