Polymorphous Light Eruption. Presented by DR. LEONARD HARBER and DR. RONALD HOLLOWAY (by invitation).

Duration.—First noticed in 1960.

Sites.—Cheeks, forehead, neck, and arms.

History.—A 37-year-old New York City fireman was first seen at the New York Skin and Cancer Unit in July, 1962, complaining of an eruption that he felt was due to exposure to sunlight. The patient first noted his dermatosis in the early summer of 1960 and could not relate its appearance to any preceding illness, medicaments, or undue exposure to light. With recurrence the following summer and again in the spring of 1962, the patient sought dermatological opinion. Prior to this he had used no medication, systemic or topical. His past health has been excellent.
