THESE HESE were the main points considered by our roundtable discussions: (1) specific knowledge of the basic sciences relating to the skin should be taught to the medical students; (2) there should also be a "hard core" of clinical dermatologic knowledge given to the student; (3) common dermatoses should be emphasized. Personal contact of students with the patients is very important; (4) a simple basic formulary should be given to the students and they should be taught how to use these agents; (5) to insure student participation, teaching should be in small groups; (6) mechanisms of disease should be taught in order to make the common dermatoses more understandable to the student; (7) the relation of cutaneous diseases to systemic diseases should be stressed; (8) new teaching aids and techniques are available and their possible application to dermatologic teaching should be explored; (9) although terminology is difficult for the student,
