George Washington Award.—
On April 28, 1965, Dr. Frederick Reiss was honored by receiving the George Washington award for 1965 given by the American Hungarian Studies Foundation. Other 1965 awardees will be Gen Robert W. Johnson and Gilbert Miller. Previous awardees have been many Nobel Prize laureates and other prominent scientists.
Psoriasis Research Award for 1965.—
The Department of Dermatology, Baylor University College of Medicine, Houston, announces the Mr. and Mrs. J.N. Taub International Memorial Award for Psoriasis Research for 1965.
This annual award of $1,000 was established in 1957 by Carol and Henry J.N. Taub in honor of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.N. Taub. Their establishment of this ten-year program carried with it the hope that the award would be an incentive to develop a cure to alleviate one of the problems of mankind.
