Orville J. Stone, MD, Piper Professor of 1965.

Dr. Orville J. Stone, assistant professor of Dermatology at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Tex, has been named one of ten Texas Professors to be honored as "Piper Professors of 1965" by the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation of San Antonio.

Ten Piper Professor Awards are given annually by the educational foundation in recognition of outstanding academic achievement, scholarly research, and dedication to the teaching profession at college level.

The professors are chosen from statewide nominations submitted by college presidents. Dr. Stone was the only doctor of medicine selected in this group.

Dr. George M. Lewis Receives Achievement Award.—

Dr. George M. Lewis received the outstanding achievement award for 1965 in recognition of distinguished services to medicine. It was conferred upon him by the Medical Alumni Association of the University of Alberta, Canada.
