DR. SUSKIND has presented some very interesting data as a result of a survey which he recently conducted. He and I have thought that it might be worthwhile to compare these data with those collected four years ago by Dr. Pillsbury, as president of the organization, with help from me, as secretary. Dr. Suskind's data indicate where we are now; the data from the earlier survey establish a prior point so that the line between the two may give some indication of where we are going. I shall not particularly comment upon the Canadian situation other than to point out that the trend is similar although the details differ a great deal, largely because of different philosophy of Canadian medical educators and a different attitude of the Dominion Government as compared with our Federal Government.
