Hairy Nevi of the Bathing Suit Type. Presented by HERBERT A. LUSCOMBE, MD, and EDUVIGIA ORZECHOWSKA, MD.

The patient, a 17-year-old student, is a healthy young woman with a past history of no serious diseases. One cousin has several "strawberry" moles. The patient was born with several brown lesions on her back. A few months after birth, the mother observed hair growing in most of the lesions. There has been gradual growth and extension of the lesions.

Dermatological Examination.—

Examination revealed large, round, raised, pigmented lesions on the lower two thirds of the back, and extending to the posterior and lateral aspects of the thighs. The skin in the involved areas is thick, wrinkled, and hairy. There is a satellite lesion on the anterior aspect of the left thigh and pigmented macules are scattered over the trunk and proximal extremities. A complete examination showed no other abnormal findings.
